• Drilled in the 1920's with discovery in 1956
• Oil tested downdip 800 m at Shakal
• Tested oil from Tertiary and Cretaceous carbonate fractured reservoirs at a combined rate of 2,900 BOPD
• Later wells had poor or no flow in reservoirs — uncertain if drilling or geologic effect
• Subsurface structure yet to be defined - no seismic
